Speaker of Parliament Tsveta Karayancheva has spoken with Prime Minister of Cabo Verde José Ulisses de Pina Correia e Silva.
At the meeting, Tsveta Karayancheva and the Prime Minister of Cabo Verde shared the opinion that the two countries had a potential to develop and intensify cooperation in culture, education, tourism, economy and business.
The Speaker of the Bulgarian Parliament expressed her confidence that the good relations between the two countries would continue to deepen and strengthen.
Tsveta Karayancheva said that she would help with the setting up of a friendship group with Cabo Verde at the Bulgarian Parliament, which would contribute to the closer cooperation between the two parliaments.
José Ulisses de Pina Correia e Silva said that it was very important for his country to strengthen partnership in education, for which he would count on support from Bulgaria. He expressed his hope to build strong contacts in tourism and investment. We have a special partnership programme with the European Union and we would like to strengthen these ties, said the Prime Minister of Cabo Verde. He added that as of May no visas would be required for European citizens and that the main goal of the institutions at the moment was to create a space of security internally and externally.
