The historic National Assembly building was illuminated in blue on 20 November 2024. Parliament joined UNICEF Bulgaria's initiative to mark the 35th anniversary of the adoption of the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child. The slogan of the campaign is "World Children's Day 2024. Listen to the future - children!".

In this way, the National Assembly highlighted its commitment to the cause of protecting and promoting children's rights and the need for their voices to be heard.

The UN Convention was ratified by a decision of the Grand National Assembly and has been in force for our country since July 1991.
